With the launch of the new Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X, Google is including a new "Sensor Hub" to enable the phones to be even more aware of their surroundings. The Sensor Hub is an all-encompassing system that lets the phone know when it's being moved, the finely recognize gestures when it's in your hand, and even more simple things like just when it's been picked up.
