Ultimaker's new Android app offers a helping hand when everything is ruined

When something goes wrong with a 3D Printer that you can't immediately diagnose by looking at the mess of filament in a pile on your tray, crawling through forums is just about the last thing you want to do. You usually find the answer you need to get things back up and running, but the process can be frustrating. Global support for something like a 3D Printer isn't easy, even for a popular 3D Printer company like Ultimaker. To help address the need for support among novice users, the Ultimaker app now exists in the Google Play Store.

If you find yourself in need of a more direct helping hand, the app also includes contact information for your closest official Ultimaker support group.

As cool as it would be to have an app that plugged into your 3D Printer and fixed everything with a simple tap on your phone, the Ultimaker app is all about giving you the tools to diagnose any problems you may have with your printer. You scan the barcode on your 3D Printer, and the support documentation that follows is directly geared towards helping you sole whatever problems you might have.
